Print to PDF

You can create a PDF document from virtually any application that allows you to print files. Nitro PDF Creator is included in Nitro Pro, and is a virtual printer that enables you to create a PDF file from any application capable of printing. Instead of printing to a physical printer, you can print to the Nitro PDF Creator to create an electronic copy of your file. The Nitro PDF Creator is ready to use without requiring any configuration, and is automatically installed to your Windows printer manager.

The Nitro PDF Creator is a virtual printer that allows you to create a new electronic PDF file, rather than printing to a physical printer.

To print a document to the Nitro PDF Creator:

  1. Open the document you wish to convert to a PDF in its original program.  For example, if you want to convert a Word document to PDF, open the document in Microsoft Word.  You can also convert online content from a web browser.
  2. Go to File > Print, or press Ctrl+P to open the print dialogue.
  3. From the printer list, select Nitro PDF Creator
  4. Click Print.
  5. The Save As dialogue will appear and ask you to name the document and select a location to save the file.  Select the folder location, enter the file name, and click Save.
  6. The Nitro PDF Creator will begin converting the document to a PDF.  Once the conversion is completed, the PDF document will open in Nitro Pro.
